This is the homepage of the Wessex Bird of Prey Rescue, based in Poole, Dorset. We cover the whole of Dorset up to and including the New Forest and Somerset Borders. No injured bird is ever refused treatment on the basis of cost or species. As we are self funded and pay no wages to ourselves or our volunteers all monies raised go directly to injured Raptors.
Any donation given to the Wessex Bird of Prey Rescue goes directly to the treatment of injured wild Raptors. We remove no funds for administration, wages or so called expenses. If you wish to make a donation by Paypal of any amount (we can treat an injured Barn Owl for 20p per day after initial treatment) please click on this link other methods see Donations.
Wessex Bird of Prey Rescue also offer a rehoming service to unwanted captive bred Raptors, these birds are only rehomed with experienced Falconers and references are required. There is no charge for these birds apart from a registration fee to the Independent Bird Register (IBR) which is compulsory.
Temporary mews or free lofting is available (fully insured) for Falconers who need to house their birds for a short period.
